The Search for a Lighthouse |
A few years back on summer vacation, my family packed ourselves up into a car and drove over 20 hours to Prince Edward Island. Was it worth it? Absolutely! There was so many beautiful sights to see there.
My one goal that I had when going here was that I wanted to go visit a lighthouse. My family ended up staying in a remote part of the island that was far away from many tourist attractions so we drove for hours in search of a public lighthouse. Trusting a GPS for everything proved to be a bad idea as it had us driving around in circles! Finally after we ditched the GPS and trusted our own instincts we stumbled across the West Point Lighthouse. After paying a small fee we were able to take a tour of the lighthouse and learn all about its history. There was so many interesting things to see in the lighthouse; the view was just a bonus! I decided that I wanted to document my favourite part of my trip to Prince Edward Island, thus I created The Search for a Lighthouse. The Search for a Lighthouse was painted using both watercolour and acrylic paints. |
